Water Conservation: Analyzing Your Water Usage for 3 Days
For the math portion of the STEAM Project, you will have to create a circle graph. The circle graph needs to be the total water usage for all 3 days. For example, looking at "Flush the toilet." If you used 18 gallons on Friday, 36 gallons on Saturday, and 30 gallons on Sunday, you would add up them up to be a total of 84 gallons of water. If your total water usage was 645 gallons of water for all three days, your ratio of water used for flushing the toilet would be 84/645. You will do this for each of the categories and then make your circle graph. Use the videos to the left to refresh your memory on how to make an ACCURATE circle graph. To receive maximum credit, you will need to hand draw the circle graph, be neat and 100% accurate. You will receive 3/4 credit if you use the computer and are 100% accurate.
